Fiber Installations

Fiber Optic Telecommunications Technician/Engineer - Perform network moves, adds, or changes of copper cable (to include single pair, flat wire, CAT5E, RG58, RG59, etc.) to support the communication needs on classified and unclassified Local Area Networks. Perform Installation of equipment cabinets, ductwork, shelving units to support any equipment requirements. An Industry Standard Certification is required. Requires 5 years experience.

Service Desk Technician - Lithicum, MD & Colorado Springs, CO

Provides information system solutions and technical support in one or more areas including personal computer/client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, database design and administration, telecommunications and network support and administration. Successful candidate will have expert experience in Windows 2000/XP operating systems. Individual must have strong troubleshooting skills with various hardware and software applications. (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, IE, Netscape, etc.) Incumbent must have a high level of expertise with Active Directory administrations. Must be able to utilize SMS to remotely troubleshoot desktop systems. Must have a solid knowledge of utilizing TCP/IP in LAN environment. Must understand DOD security policies and procedures. Incumbent will need to maintain a high level of customer service, and possess excellent communications skills. Requires an Industry recognized IT certification. Requires 3 years of relevant IT experience; a Bachelor's degree +4 years may be substituted.

JWICS NOC System Controller

Successful candidate with have entry level experience in IP networking, utilizing Juniper or Cisco hardware, and Video teleconferencing utilizing Cisco and Tandberg hardware. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot IP network using ICMP, and network topology drawings to isolate faults and restore or escalate to next tier for resolution. Applicant must have a clear understanding of IP routing. Applicant must have troubleshooting experience for global enterprise networks, to include ATM (OC-3, OC-12, etc), T-1, T-3, E-1. Must also have experience with layer 2 technologies, specifically Marconi ATM switches and CISCO Ethernet switches. Incumbent will be able to understand switch configurations and detect incorrect settings. Must have worked with encryption devices; specifically, Fastlane, Taclane and KIV-7. Experience with Video Teleconferencing over an IP network is desired. Devices used are Tandberg MCU(s), CODEC(s), Tandberg Management System (TMS), gateways, and gatekeepers. Requires an industry standard certification in a relevant information technology field. Requires minimum 5 years experience.

SMS Administrator

Incumbent must be familiar with corporate networks, standard hardware and software. Incumbent must have experience deploying software packages via Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003. Incumbent will have a working knowledge of Windows Systems Update Server to include out of the box installation, configuration, and maintenance. This experience must ensure incumbent has the ability to successfully perform routine deployments to workstations via SMS/WSUS. Incumbent will perform system checks to ensure software deployment is successful, provide technical solutions to fulfill customer requirements, manage/track workflow via Siebel, ensure configuration guidelines are being adhered to, provide quality assurance and communicate effectively with liaisons, IT Support Representatives, DS counterparts and customers. Incumbent must have great troubleshooting skills to determine system or network related issues and a working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy. Incumbent will provide technical consultation to staff regarding SMS/WSUS capabilities for routine and non standard changes. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating reports based on deployments of software and operating systems to management. Incumbent will be required to attend weekly Change Advisory Board meetings for successful deployment activity requests. Incumbent must be able to acquire administrative domain account assess upon security indoctrination. Incumbent must have an awareness of and sensitivity to security and safety procedures. Incumbent must possess initiative and be able to work independently with little guidance and oversight. Incumbent must possess outstanding customer service skills. Incumbent must also possess outstanding oral and written communication skills. Incumbent must provide daily reports to team leads regarding status of deployments the previous evening. Incumbent expected to perform other duties as assigned as they relate to systems installation throughout region. Night/weekend/shift/holiday/extended shift work may be required to support a 24-hour, 7-day per week operation. Requires an industry standard certification in a relevant information technology field. Requires 7 years experience; a Bachelor's degree +4 years experience may be substituted.
